Dress: Old (similar, similar)
Jean Jacket:Old (similar)

The past two weeks have been full of family time, sightseeing in NYC and Boston, and not sticking to a schedule! It's been great!

We are FINALLY getting blossoms on trees and it makes me so happy! Hopefully the weather will start feeling like spring as well!

ONE // I'm thinking of making this chore chart for B. Just so he can be more accountable for doing his jobs!

TWO // I read this article on mentally strong people and I think it's a great read for everyone!

THREE // This dress and this one are so cute and springy!

FOUR // I've been looking for a swimsuit cover up and I think a romper like this is a great option!

FIVE // There are constantly shoes by our front door and I think this might be the perfect solution to the problem!

Happy Friday!

Sandal Weather

Sweater: Primark (similar)
Jeans: Old Navy (similar)

We just returned home from a fun trip to New York City! I thought Boston was a big city, but it's small in comparison. We packed so much into the two full days we were there and I'll be sharing more on our trip in the coming weeks.

Today is the first day it's gotten over 60 degrees since February and I'm definitely taking advantage of it and wearing sandals! Tomorrow we have family coming into town and we can't wait to do some sightseeing with them!

Happy Friday!

Where is Spring?!? + Life Update

This winter has lasted forever! I thought it would start warming up this month but we've gotten FOUR nor'easters in the past three weeks, with the last two bringing snow!

We found out recently that B will be in school full time next year and I'm feeling a little stressed to make sure I teach him everything he needs to know to go out in the world. Does anyone else feel this way when their oldest starts school?? My husband also commented on how once he starts school, he'll be going for the next 20+ years....that seems like so long!

Baby E is looking like a toddler more and more every day! He's getting stockier and taller, can roar like a lion (it's the funniest thing), and is always into trouble!

My husband and I are both ready for intern year to be done. Only three months left of this craziness and then hopefully it will calm down!

A Lesson Learned

Sweater - Kohl's (Sold out)
Pants - Primark
Shoes - Similar

Photos by Kristina Sponseller

This post has nothing to do with these pictures! I just love this sweater and had to share it with you all!

Yesterday I had good intentions to workout and was only ten minutes in when Baby E dropped a weight on my ring finger. I cried for a good ten minutes. It hurt so bad!

My finger swelled up and bruised pretty quickly so I decided to go to the doctor and make sure it wasn't broken. It was kind of a wasted appointment because there's not much they can do unless the swelling doesn't go down, then I have to go back in for an x-ray.

So lesson learned is to not workout while Baby E is awake and keep all weights far away from him!

I'm back to blogging this week! Last week was not our best week. We were in survival mode! All I'll say is this winter has not been the best for us because of how much we've been getting sick.

I am so happy for a new week with everyone in our family being healthy!

I think the only thing that's kept us sane lately is Netflix, great friends to play with, and pulling out toys that were never unpacked when we moved to Boston. B was looking through one of his photo books and saw a tent that he hasn't played with in a long time. So I pulled it out and it's provided hours of entertainment!

I mentioned Lucy Avenue Boutique a couple weeks ago and I have to tell you more about them! They have so many cute and affordable clothes! Please go and check them out! Here's their website & Instagram. They also are giving you all this code BRUSHING10 for 10% off your next order!

Have a happy Monday friends!!

Life Lately

Top - Similar
Cardigan - Modest Modern Mama (Color-Twig)
Skirt - Similar
Hey, hey!!

I just wanted to stop by and say hi!

I really have nothing important to tell you because our lives have been pretty boring lately! My husband has been home more often on his current rotation and I have been able to run errands a couple times by myself-It's been so great!

B surprised us with being able to spell off and on all by himself! I guess I won't be able to spell things out loud to my husband without B knowing what I'm saying for too much longer.

Baby E likes to party in the early morning hours and it's killing me! Good thing he's cute, but he needs to grow out of this ASAP!

Anyways, I hope you have an amazing day! We'll be playing in the snow!

Embroidered Dress in the Cold

Dress c/o Basil & Blush
Shoes - Target

Dress c/o Basil & Blush
Shoes - Target

If you can't tell, these pictures were taken in the freezing cold! I was dying! haha

Yesterday the boys had doctor appointments. We parked the car a couple blocks away because #citylife and starting walking to the building. It was 8 degrees out. By the time we got to the door Baby E had two snot fangs and B was a crying mess. Cold weather with young kids is not fun!

Have you heard of Basil & Blush boutique?!? It's a boutique that carries modest and cute clothes! This dress is from them and I got so many compliments on it when I wore it to church a couple weeks ago! Go check them out on Instagram and they are also offering you all 15% off with the code BLOOMING!

Two Types of Winter Coats You Need in your Closet

Outfit 1: Puffer Coat - Similar
Booties - Target
Outfit 2: Coat - Similar
Scarf - Similar (Under $12!)

While we lived in Virginia I hardly ever wore coats and I was so tempted to get rid of all of them! I'm so glad I didn't because I'm actually putting them to good use here in New England!

The first coat pictured, I got on major sale the end of last winter for only $30! It has saved me this winter so far! I usually reach for it during the week when I'm running errands or going outside when the boys need some fresh air and more space to run around.

I have been wearing the second coat when I'm wanting to look more dressed up. I love wearing this one to church or on our rare date nights!

I guess what I'm trying to get at in this post is that you only need a puffer coat and a dressy coat in your closet! Haha I've been getting rid of so many things in my closet and trying to declutter that this was a little pep talk for myself to get rid of coats I hardly wear!

Well I'm off to a cookie exchange and to declutter some more!
