A couple Saturdays ago we took B to the Virginia Safari Park. To say he loved it would be an understatement! It was one of the places on our Virginia bucket list and it felt so good to be able to cross another thing off.
We heard about this place when we came to Natural Bridge a couple years ago and we knew B would love it when he was older. We bought a bucket of food so we could feed the animals from our car as we drove through the "safari". It was actually kind of scary feeding them at first because the llamas and ostriches were really aggressive! Even when we had our windows up, they would come and look inside our car to see if we had food!
Some of the animals would stick their heads SO FAR into cars to get food! It was crazy!
After the driving part, we walked around a petting zoo. B was really brave and petted the goats and kangaroo!
If you look really close you can see the baby kangaroo inside one of the mom's pouches!
Our favorite part of the entire thing was being able to feed the giraffes! The giraffe we are feeding still has another foot to grow!
We had so much fun and I thought it was better than a regular zoo!
