Studying for the CBSE

If you've been following my blog for a while you know that my husband's life (and mine, really) has been consumed with studying for the CBSE (Comprehensive Basic Science Exam) which is required when applying to oral surgery residency.

Now that the test is behind us, having experience taking it three times, and finally getting the score he was looking for, I thought I would share what study materials he used and some study tips that helped him!
What programs and books used:
-First Aid book (pictured below)
-UWorld Question Bank (Found Here)
-Sketchy Medical-Micro and Pharm (Found Here)

Tips:
1) Go at whatever pace you want with studying until the last 2-3 weeks. Then go through all of First Aid in those last weeks and at least 50% of the question bank.

2) Practice tests are okay, but they cost a lot and don't think they are necessary.

3) A good score for 4 year OMFS programs (which is what my husband is doing) Is somewhere around a 65, though some programs are okay with lower 60's.

Good luck to anyone taking this test! Feel free to ask any questions you have!
